KESSLER is built to be calm and private. It has no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no advertising or cross-app tracking. Your gameplay lives on your device.
Key point: KESSLER does not run its own servers. We never see your game data.
KESSLER keeps your game data — today's attempt, your best score, your career service record, your salvage balance, and your settings — locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage. The debris field itself is not stored or downloaded: it is charted on your device from the date, which is why the game works entirely offline.
If you are signed in to iCloud, KESSLER also mirrors that progression to your own iCloud account, so a new phone or a reinstall does not cost you your service record — and does not hand you a second scored run for the day. It lives under your Apple Account, governed by Apple's terms, and we never see it. Sign out of iCloud and the game simply plays from your device.
If you sign in to Game Center, your run's score is submitted to Apple's leaderboards so you can see your rank on the day's field and against your all-time best. That feature is operated by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy. KESSLER does not receive your Apple Account credentials or contacts.
OVERTIME, the one-time operator license, is sold through the App Store. Payments are handled by Apple; we never receive your payment details or your Apple Account credentials.
We use RevenueCat as a processor to check that the purchase is real and to restore it on your other devices. What it receives is the App Store receipt for the transaction, a random anonymous identifier generated for your install, the last time the app was used, and basic technical facts about the device such as its model and operating system. It never receives your name, your email address, your Apple Account, or anything about the runs you fly — those never leave your device in the first place. RevenueCat acts only on our instructions as a data processor, has no relationship with you of its own, and the data is not used for advertising, not sold, and not combined with anything from other apps.
Salvage units and the instrument palettes in the vault are not for sale. They are earned by clearing debris in the game and spent inside it; no real money is involved and nothing about them leaves your device.
When you share a run, KESSLER draws the mission report as an image on your device and hands it to the standard iOS share sheet. Where it goes from there is entirely your choice — nothing is uploaded to us, and we have no record that you shared anything at all.
The daily reminder is a local notification, scheduled by the app on your device. Nothing is sent from a server, no push token is registered, and turning the reminder off in Settings removes it. Notifications are only ever requested after you ask for the reminder.
KESSLER is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because there are no accounts and no data collection, there is nothing for us to gather.
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and post the revised version on this page.
