Made in Valencia

Horchata is a small, independent studio in Valencia, Spain. We make the apps we want on our own phones, and help other people make theirs.

The name comes from the cold tiger-nut milk Valencia drinks all summer: a few ingredients, done properly.

How we work

One job each
Every app has one thing to do: keep what you saved, plan the week, time the reading, set the daily puzzle. If a feature doesn’t help with that, it doesn’t ship.
Puzzles without servers
The daily boards in QUILT, YAGURA and KESSLER are generated on your phone from the date. The whole world gets the same one, and it works on a plane.
No account to make
Our apps run without a sign-up. Saves, tasks, stories and streaks sync through your own iCloud, not a server of ours.
Pay once, if at all
Daily puzzles stay free for everyone. Extras are usually a single purchase; when an app needs a subscription, it says so up front.
